After spending the majority of his life in the Pacific Northwest, Doug and his wife recently moved to Southern Florida and love living in the sunshine. Doug is a father of three, “incredible grown kids” and husband to a very loving wife.
Doug came to AMBAC from family of gear heads that includes his dad, who worked as the assembly line manager for Buick in the early 60’s before taking an engineering job with Boeing. His oldest brother raced Lotus Formula 3 at the age of 20 and Doug has another brother who bought an automotive repair shop at age 18 where he started his path into his current industry. “Being in the automotive/heavy duty/marine/industrial and power sports industry I am able to not spend a single day at “work”, as this is my passion,” quotes Doug.
His hobbies include motorcycle off road racing such as modern bike Hare Scrambles on his Husqvarna FX350 as well as vintage motocross on his 1980 Can Am MX400, which herebuilt from the ground up. Finding opportunities to take the Jeep off-road and travel are also high on the list of things that Doug enjoys.
His career path has included working as an automotive machinist, working as a Master Tech, building Kenworth trucks and helping businesses find solutions to supply chain, employee training, and best business practices.
AMBAC is honored and excited to have Doug as part of the team. Doug can be reached at dross@ambac.net.
